Ants+ has now closed...
After 5 long years, I have decided that it's time to close the Ants+ website... from it's opening back in 2001 through to the end of Ants on Zone.com in the summer of 2006, it has tried to be a one-stop resource for everything Ants, and I hope it has achieved that aim.
Unfortunately, over the past 18 months, my free time has become more and more limited - partly due to work and other personal commitments, partly down to other projects (such as WPG) - to the extent that Ants+ has not been updated for a number of months. Rather than leave the site in a distressed and 'abandoned' state, I've taken it down for the time being.
As I've previously mentioned, I plan to add a couple of sections to my personal website when I prepare it, discussing the history of both Zone.com and Ants. I will be working on this in the future.
I will also continue to work on WPG in the future, and hope to finally see the site launch at some point. I do hope that you will come over and join us and enjoy the tournaments, ladders, events and community features we have to offer. I would also like to use WPG to integrate some of the archived Ants resources - such as the Tournament Archive (including every single tournament ever scheduled in the Tournament Tool), but that would be a longer-term aim for the community.
I have recently discovered that some of you have settled down at the International Gaming Zones website, so I hope that works out for you guys (be it in the short term, or as a "final home" for the Ants community). The community will always be welcome over at WPG, but I understand if that doesn't materialise given just how long it's taken to initiate the WPG dream.
In closing, thanks for all the memories over the past 9 years I've been involved in the Ants community, it's been a blast. I hope that I will be able to get involved in the community again in the near future, but in the meantime you can contact me in the following ways:
